At the start of September 2017 we held a ‘Little Heroes Day’ party at The Crown in Blandford Forum, for all the children, young people and their families that we support. Guests came from all across the South of England and were provided with a free, fun-filled day out and a much needed break away from hospital for those undergoing treatment.
Our little superheroes came ‘dressed to the nines’ in their hero costumes and they had a fantastic time enjoying all the fun-filled activities we put on.
We had a disco, bouncy castle, free tombola, buffet lunch, sweet stall, popcorn, super hero 3 tier cake, afternoon tea, fire engine, Spiderman, Anna & Elsa, Alpacas, parachute games, kick boxing, superhero t-shirts to take home, cake decorating, space hoppers, Alfredo the balloon man, superhero balloons and much more! We also gave every child a present to take home in a superhero drawstring bag – it was super!
The day was a complete success and the best part was being able to see all the children smiling, laughing and enjoying themselves. They truly are Little Heroes.
Next year, we’re going to hold a Christmas party with real Reindeer’s, so stay tuned for details!
