Ted’s Shack Story
In 2015 Teddy20 were delighted to purchase a luxury, 39ft static caravan in Bowleaze Cove, Weymouth. This was after months of crazy fundraising to achieve our dream of offering free holidays to children undergoing cancer treatment and their families, in the Wessex region.
We wanted to offer a home from home holiday providing much needed breaks away from the hospital environment. It is our aim to enable families going through this ordeal to spend quality time together and make precious memories. For a brief time, the children can relax and forget all about hospital life.
Holidays at Ted’s shack are available to children undergoing cancer treatment in the Wessex Region and only by a referral from their health care professional such as, Young Lives vs Cancer welfare team or their hospital.
